Land of the Vikings - Day 1

I was nervous getting off the plane. I thought I would run into Kaleo, even though they were in California. I just had a weird feeling in my stomach, or maybe that was because I hadn't eaten since the last time I ate (I love food, thank God I have a metabolism). So at the airport I get my luggage and I run into someone who looks like JJ from Kaleo. I was freaking out, but it wasn't him! Really disappointing for me.

​So i went up to exchange some Euros and USD for Kronas, and I looked like an idiot trying to shove my money in the ATM machine. I couldn't figure it out so I just left and started laughing so hard cause its so stupid. I’m now waiting for my taxi… I waited like 10 minutes, but I’m so impatient that I wandered around looking for him. He was standing right in front with a sign that said my name, and I still missed him cause I was too busy wandering the airport. I’m really smart lol. This taxi i totally recommend, he has a great sense of humour tbh, he even helped me with currency exchange cause obviously I'm not so great with that task.

The taxi takes me to the Blue Lagoon, and its raining and not at all sunny. I love the sun and I hate rain, I might have came to the wrong country lol. He was telling me that the Blue Lagoon water is basically human waste because of how dirty the water is once it gets filtered from the city, then to the Lagoon. (The city gets the fresh water then it gets moved to the Lagoon, its a cycle of water filtration) 

​That made me really excited, note the sarcasm.

I get dropped off and I bring my luggage to the holding place then sign in to go swimming. Little did I know that the locker room is filled with naked women ranging from early ages to the stone ages… no offense to anyone, but I was vomiting over and over in my mouth (it's a metaphor). I found a changing room and its empty, no surprise there… I change then shower so fast to get out of hell and go right into the hot Lagoon.

It was really boring cause I was alone but I got a nice free silica mask. After an hour of being bored I get out into the freezing wind and rain and it turns out the package I bought doesn't come with a towel!!!​

WTF no towel? It doesn't make any sense to me, but I end up paying 1,000 Kronas for 1 towel. After changing in the changing room I find a lounge chair and sleep for well over 5 hours waiting for my family to come to Iceland and pick me up and head for the first night guesthouse. They arrive and I’m legit so happy to get out of there, don't get me wrong its really cool, but after a few hours it gets boring.
