"Vor í Vaglaskógi"
This IS Kaleo's first ever music video! After getting so much Icelandic radio play in 2013, Davíð asked Eyk Studio to help them make a video. They all quickly got together and took only about a week to create the story, find a cast, shoot, and edit it (fun fact: this song is a remake of a 1966 Icelandic tune sang by Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson) |

"Rock 'n' Roller": This live performance is from Stúdíó A, a live music program by The Icelandic Public Service television RÚV (www.ruv.is), which aired on November 7, 2013.
I'm listing it here because this song was originally Kaleo's second ever produced music video! The original music video released in November 2013 by (of course) the fabulously talented crew over at Eyk Studio; however, it has since been made private on YouTube (as of a search in Mar 2022). I hope to see it released again someday! *UPDATE 7 Jun 2024: Official Visualizer video released today! |
"No Good" (Official Video) - Follows the band around with behind the scenes footage of and during their first US tour. The amazing visual artists over at Eyk Studio calls it "grungy".

"WAY DOWN WE GO" (Official Video)

"ALL THE PRETTY GIRLS": Largely filmed at Davíð's family's summer house, the beautiful landscape of Eastern Iceland around Lagarfljót, and Mývatn.
|
"No Good" - Recorded live at United Record Pressing in Nashville, directed by Shaun Silva. Song featured on the HBO® Original Series "Vinyl". Martin Scorcese and Mick Jagger heard an unfinished version of this song and wanted to use it for their show. JJ had 3 days to finish writing the song and get Kaleo to a recording studio in Pittsburgh. “One simply doesn’t say ‘no’ to Mick Jagger when he asks for one of your songs.” (fun fact: JJ is playing a Fender Telecaster in this video) Source: Iceland Magazine

"Vor í Vaglaskógi": Official music video released in June of 2013.
There was a previously videotaped performance in 2013 for radio showcase Skúrinn (“The Garage”) at Icelandic State Radio’s Rás 2, which was what propelled them into the country’s national spotlight. That video appears to have been taken down (in 2021). You can still watch "Bang Bang" here (source: The Reykjavik Grapevine) |
"Vor í Vaglaskógi": 2016 Lyric video produced at the request of record company to show Icelandic scenery. "We went on a road trip around the country to film while simultaneously developing a concept for the video. It is definitely a documentary music video. Everyone in the film are real people we visited around Iceland while focusing on capturing them in their most natural environment."
